Welcome to Sportiva '11 Participants from PITS

Parisutham Institute of Technology and Science is just 36 months old!

Founded in 2008, Parisutham Institute of Technology & Science, fondly referred to as “P I T S“, started with just 240 students in four branches of engineering studies. Today it has totally seven branches of study – ECE, EEE, IT, CSE, CIVIL, MECHANICAL & AERONAUTICAL with a student strength of about 1300.

It is an eco friendly, 50-acre, well designed campus. Its flora and fauna includes over 5000 trees and variety of birds and animals. It is a cleanliness-enforced campus with efficient waste disposal and waste handling systems.

It’s sports facilities include – Football, Cricket, Hockey, Roller Skating Hockey Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton (Shuttle), Fencing, Boxing, Squash, Tennis, Table Tennis, Billiards, Snooker. It has also extensive facilities for Carom and Chess.

The institution conducts five major events every year –

1. “Techathon” – Technical competitions confined to students of PITS. (in July)
2. “Sportiva” – State level Inter –Engineering Games Meet.(in September)
3. “Black & White”- State Level Tech Meet. (in January)
4. “Olympia” – PITS Annual Sports Meet.(in February)
5. “Excelencia” – PITS Annual Awards Night. (in March)

This is the second year we are conducting “SPORTIVA”. Last year’s “Sportiva’2010”, was a grand success and this year we have had better response with much more participation. As a growing institution, we do have certain constraints in terms of facilities under construction and we sincerely hope that you will bear with us for shortfalls, if any.
