LEAP 2011

LEAP 2011, Learning Education and Aptitude Program was held from 15-Jun-2011 until 20-Jun-2011 with several resource persons interacting with our new faculty.

"PITS Village Vision"

Contributing back to the community is one of the important aspects of  meaningful holistic education. We need to take care where there is a need. This year we will be doing one such project – a rural development project program under the Finishing School Curriculum.  

All final year Students will participate. They will be sent to selected villages to do real-time community service. Under this program we will be selecting four rural schools in four different villages surrounding our institution. Our students will be whitewashing and cleaning the premises of these selected village schools, set up a garden, provide a flag post, provide two fans for class rooms, provide geometry box and notebooks to all the students in these village schools. Materials will be facilitated and provided by PITS.

This program will be called "PITS Village Vision" Program.

Each and every branch will be given the task of adopting and maintaining one village school each. We will carry out this program in panchayat schools located in the villages of Nanjikottai, Thulakkampatty, Vadakkupattu  etc. One Saturday will be selected for the purpose and the above tasks will have to be completed in one day. This program will be carried out starting from first week of  July 2011.

University Theory Exams

University theory examinations for all batches of students commence today.

We wish all the students the best, and  hope that they will reap the rewards for the effort they have invested in academics through the entire semester.

Summer Preparations

As the Summer of 2011 sets in, students spend time at the Students Centre to relax.

 Third year students are participating in a Study Camp. Students who need additional preparation ahead of their University Theory Examinations are given special classes held along with Tests to help them prepare for their examinations.

University Practical Examinations, First Year

University Practical Examinations continued for the first year students.

First Year University Practical Exams

First year students began their University Practical Examinations on 9-May-2011. Simultaneously some of the 3rd year students are attending a study camp until 11-May-2011 to help them ramp up their subjects with the assistance of their Subject lecturers.
