Helping Lecturers and Professors reach students better ...

Continually, attempting to leave no stone unturned to help students get the best from their Professors and lecturers, PITS now has adopted a daily feedback system for the students.

Heads of various Departments continually use feedback from the students to help guide Professor and Lecturers reporting to them to improve themselves.

Continuous Improvement, being one of the chief methods to achieve Total Quality Management, is what we hope to achieve by our present feedback initiatives.

It is also clear that this feedback is NOT the place for addressing difference of opinions or perceived ill-will towards a particular member of the faculty. The entire exercise is constructive and shall be taken up as such. This is an initiative begun by our Chairman during the second week of November.

Feedback forms are available from the HODs of all Departments. If you would like to give feedback, you may request to be nominated by the HOD to follow subsequent classes and provide constructive feedback. This feedback will be useful to the members of the Teaching Faculty and the Student Community in equal measure.

As an example, the form for providing feedback for the Department of EEE is available here. Although the form is open, it must be filled only after consulting the HOD and being nominated to provide feedback. This is to ensure that responses can be followed up and results can be gauged. We also take this opportunity to thank the students who have been providing objective, impersonal feedback and the members of the Teaching Faculty who have taken this initiative in the best spirit.

There is an opportunity for staff to quickly improve themselves and become better teachers. The spirit shown by our staff members in taking part and executing this initiative is also ongoing.

  1. This method is fine and good. But, the feed back should be collected from all the students. This will help other students to express their ideas about the staffs in person. If it is feasible to collect the feed backs from all the students, it will be even more good and fine!!!
