Projects: Dedicated Tech Lab

At PITS we provide a dedicated Technology Laboratory for students who are pursuing their projects. This Laboratory is also equipped with a Conference Room for guidance meetings and the Office of the Director of Placement/Incubation and the Director of Technical Activities. Here, students can come and avail the facility at any time in pursuit of completing their projects.

All Technical Clubs and Activities are Coordinated from the Tech Cell Office.

They can also interact with the Industry through PITSiNET, the Intranet of PITS accessible from anywhere at pitsi.net. Students in their final year are encouraged to use this facility even during holidays to ensure that they complete their projects well ahead of time with the use of state-of-the-art equipment, guidance and complete project coordination, synchronization and support within the Campus.

The Tech Conference Room is a place for helping students meet together. This facility will also be available to recruiters who visit our campus. We will be providing them exclusive private access here to conduct their evaluation activities.

The Tech conference room is also equipped with an additional desk, usually occupied by our Senior Placement Advisor Prof. A Ramaswamy.
The Office of the Director - Placement/Incubation and Director - Technical Activities is located within the Lab accessible immediately through the Conference Room. This is to give hands on assistance to students who are working on their final year projects. Students visit to check their progress which is also tracked online. Projects with innovation and practical application are alone encouraged. Students do not pursue projects outside the campus.

The Lab is designed specifically with the utility of the students in mind. At our Institution, to help students learn Project Management, we have "Tech Brigade" an organization within the Campus which functions like a Company and also has a virtual office to help students connect and perform tasks from their homes. We use an innovative democratic process flow management system named "bettermeans" which is developed for Open Initiatives. Students work along with their guiding staff as equals toward completing goals of real-time Industry projects. We also assist companies in joining us to help the students acquire the skills at a very early stage, even in their second year.
