Tech Visit: Versatile - Information & Software Applications

Mr. D Ramakrishnan, Versatile Info & Software

We had the pleasure of being host to Mr. D Ramakrishnan, Executive Director - Technical, Versatile Info, addressing our students today in the afternoon. With immense experience of over fifteen (15) years from Sun Microsystems, He has founded a new company "Versatile India Pvt Ltd."

He was accompanied by their Director, Dr Natarajan who was kind enough to spend his time, and watch responses of our students.

To Learn more about their vision, there is no better place than their website (Versatile) which everyone who attended the session must at least visit. They also took interested students and enrolled them for free Oracle programs including educational newsletters, as a starting point.

They uniquely deliver solutions only in Certification, focusing on "Oracle Certified Professionals" (OCP) which is one among a smorgasbord of areas they focus on, which include Oracle [a huge set of certifications], Android, PeopleSoft and more.

The certification course for students who are interested could be conducted in our own campus based on the interest of they are willing to invest toward the closure of their semester.

Work from our students would require at least 4 months of their time for preparation, with a modest contribution in terms of fees (when it is compared with the benefits.) Oracle is absorbing 3,500 employees within 12 May 2012. They will need all these candidates to possess Oracle certification and have applied by March 2012.

The window of opportunity opens now. 'December', 'January', 'February', 'March' at the very least with an enhanced level of intensity. Certification is provided by Oracle with access to their library kits. With the demand for highly-skilled individuals being very high and the jobs created by Oracle will only render a cascade effect of creating more of them within the industry, the advantages would be innumerable.

Further, students were awed by the level of growth they could achieve within a 2 year period and the value they gain and work they would be able to contribute.

The students now have to make a decision, within limited time, whether they would be willing to allocate time and resources toward acquiring new skills and valuable Oracle Certification within the period considering that it would be possible for them to do so, making use of the facilities within our own Campus.

Feedback from the session, both written and verbal was taken by Mr D Ramakrishnan as he concluded the session. He then explained to me the situation of his visit, where they honored their appointment at whatever cost possible, as the person from Versatile who was to make this visit was indisposed. This was a demonstration of their business ethics to make sure that they honored their commitment without excuses or postponement; A value that everyone must learn to imbibe.

Students must place their careers in priority, especially
  1. The Industry they ought to enter
  2. Certification in addition to their Academic Qualification they Need
  3. Time they have to acquire this certification
  4. The Earliest by which they can become Industry Ready
  5. Get Access to one of the Largest Educational electronic Libraries hosted by Oracle

All students who are interested, please feel free to shoot an e-mail to the 'versatile' email address info@versatileinfo.in, indicated with a "collated copy" (CC) to sunil.beta@parisuthamtech.co.in

It is high time that you, the students should get started, for your career is your lifetime decision. Delayed Decision making is not the best way of using windows of opportunity. Meet me if you have any doubts on this side and we will resolve them as best as we can.

Even, we, human beings require frequent software upgrades. This is the right time to go for one.

( A special thanks to the team of Ms.Priyatharshini and Ms. Marina Pavithra of 3rd year CSE for aiding us in recording the session in both photography and videography. )
